Unidentified body recovered from Old Tha | AGARTALA, September 8 (TIWN): An unidentified body was recovered from a drain near Kashariputti road at Old Thana lane on Tuesday morning. Initially it was suspected that it could be a case of murder or suicide, police is yet clueless.Forensic test are going on to find out the reason of the death and police is investigating the case to find out the identity of the unknown dead body, said police sources.Detailing about the injuries, Police said that there were no such major injuries in the body but the cuts found in the body were from the rod which were present in the drain.Interestingly, the police found a cloth wrapped around the neck of the unidentified deceased but could not assure the reason behind the death.According to the report, after the police got the information about the dead body they rushed to the spot and recovered the unidentified body from a drain at Old Thana lane. They further took the body for post-mortem and further investigation.Resentment brewed up on Tuesday morning when some unidentified body has been found just behind the East police station.Panic gripped in the area as is one of the most secured area as this area is near to the East police station. PM Modi inquires about the progress of r | AGARTALA, September 8 (TIWN):Prime Minster Narendra Modi inquired about the rail expansion work in the state, informed chief secretary Yaspal Singh. Speaking to reporters at civil secretariat on Monday , Singh said on June last through video conferencing, prime minister wanted to know about the progress of work of BG conversion and expansion of rail lines to Sabroom.In video conference, the railway official informed by March, 2016 broad gauge conversion from Badar pur to Agartala and by March, 2017 rail way expansion to Sabroom will be completed, stated Singh. The state would remain out of the rail network for more than six months as the Northeast Frontier Railway (NFR) would undertake gauge conversion work from September 20. Due to the 'Mega Block' for conversion of railway line from meter gauge to broad gauge, running of both passenger and goods trains in between Badarpur (southern Assam) and Agartala section would be stopped from September 20. Tripura CJ asks for action against ransa | BELONIA / SABROOM, Sept 7 (TIWN) The Chief Justice of Tripura High Court Deepak Gupta has asked the Chief Minister Manik Sarkar to take legal action against the picketers who ransacked the office of the Sub-divisional Judicial Magistrate of Sabroom in South Tripura district during the nationwide general strike by trade unions on September 2. Chief Justice wrote a letter to the CM on Thursday about the incident at the office of the SDJM Sourabh Saha. CM accordingly sent the letter to the Chief Secretary YP Singh for taking legal actions, Law Minister Tapan Chakraborty told reporters. Accordingly 4 CPI-M Goons were arrested in Sabroom incident so far. Accordingly CMO (Chief Medical Officer) Nirumohon Jamatia asked SDMO Bishnu Dey to investigate the whole case and take action against Dr. Tamal Sarkar for negligence in duty. However, talking to TIWN over phone Bishnu Dey told that Dr. Tamal Sarkar although was in duty but it was not his fault, as storing duty was under Nurse Kalayani Bhattacharjee, who before going for a leave( of 1 month), supplied these bottles the hospital. SBI ATM robbery by Interstate Gangs : cl | AGARTALA, September 7 (TIWN): Tripura's 'President Color'ed police is yet clueless about the five absconding culprits involved in the ATM loot and lifting case from Beltatli SBI ATM kiosk under A.D.Nagar police station on August 18 midnight.Talking to TIWN correspondent on Sunday, A.D.Nagar police station O/C Inspector Soumen Das on Sunday said that if the five absconding culprits are not arrested then the police will not able to recover the remaining money amounting Rs. 20.23 Lakh.Detailing about amount looted by the 10 miscreants, Das said that the police successfully managed to recover a total amount of Rs. 10.84lakh and the remaining money can only be recovered after they arrest the five absconding miscreants.However, the other five arrested miscreants are in the jail custody and interrogation is further going on.Earlier, when the representatives of the state police lead by O/C Inspector Soumen Das went to Assam seeking to nab the absconding culprits and has discovered that a gang of 10 members are involved in this crime, has successfully managed to arrest one more related to this case from Assam, identified as Rabindra Baishya.It has been mentioned that Rabindra Biashya is a resident of Assam Doli bari area under Assam Haju police station.
