All India Strike: Sabroom Court Magistra | AGARTALA/ SABROOM, September 2 (TIWN): Amidst tight security on the day of 24-hour strike called for 12 points charter of demands in one voice condemns the BJP-led NDA, it is alleged that Sabroom Court Magistrate Saurav Saha was attacked by the picketers in front of the Sabroom Court Office on Wednesday. As a part of the protest the picketers were keeping a strict eye to obstruct the officials from working in their office. Resentment brewed up after Sabroom Court Magistrate went to the court for some official work despite of strict vigilance and objection in front of the court. Reportedly, Magistrate Saurav Saha called upon two other employees along with a bank clerk. When he was on the way to the court office the picketers opposed him to enter the court. However, on the issue of entering the office the picketers had some arguments in front of the court. Later, the police escorted Judge Saurav Saha to the office. After a while, when the Saha has began his work, the picketers thronged in to the office and broke the doors and windows along with benches. Sensational Sheena murder : Tripura Tea | AGARTALA / KOLKATA/ GUWAHATI, Sept 1 (TIWN): Tripura Tea garden owner Siddharth Das, who had a live-in relationship with media honcho Indrani Mukherjea - arrested for murdering her daughter Sheena Bora - on Tuesday claimed to be the father of the victim and her brother, Mikhail Bora.Das, who now lives in Dum Dum on the outskirts of the city, admitted that he never married Indrani and said the "ambitious woman" dumped him and his children as he was not "well off".​Though he feels it strange to believe if a mother could murder her child, Das said Indrani should be "hanged" if she really murdered Sheena.Having met Indrani in Shillong through common friends in 1986, Das said he was in a live-in relationship with her till 1989 when she left."We did not marry, she was in a college in Shillong and lived in the city. Through common friends we came to know each other. Then we had a live in relationship and I stayed at her residence. Her parent accepted our relationship."Sheena was born in 1987 and Mikhail in 1988. HC finds loopholes in Govt. affidavit ov | AGARTALA, Sept 1 (TIWN): Finding several loopholes on the affidavit being submitted the state government on Monday over the much rocked Bishalgarh multi-crore Rural Development (RD) scam the Tripura High Court directed the concerned authorities of state RD department to submit a fresh affidavit before the court by October 3, said Advocate Kalyani Roy.Centering the loopholes being found on the affidavit over the multi crore scam at Bishalgarh, the court also asked Principal Secretary of RD Department Dr. GSG Ayyangar to be present in the court in this regard the very day.Roy said that the affidavit submitted by the concerned department carried some loopholes due to which the latter was asked to re-submit a new affidavit. After the court gets the affidavit and statement of the concerned official, it will give the final verdict on the same day, said Roy. The opposition Congress filed a Public Interest Litigation (PIL) in the in 2014 demanding CBI probe into the scam.
