AGARTALA, September 8 (TIWN): Tripura Police recruitment for lady constables has been observed on Tuesday at the A D Nagar police ground.

Around two thousands of women have participated at the physical test.

Tripura Police department is started in the year 1965. It is the law enforcement agency of the state of Tripura. Tripura police is responsible for policing activities in the state of Tripura.

This department conducts the police rally to recruit lady constables for the women police stations. During the rally, the height of the ladies were measured, jump and running test were also included.

The selection process includes written exam, physical test, medical exam and interview.

The Tripura Police headquarters is located at Agartala, the capital of Tripura state. Entire Tripura Police is divided into two ranges, The Southern Range consisting of West, Sepahijala, South, Khowai, Gomati districts and the Northern range consisting of North, Dhalai, Unakoti District.
