AGARTALA, September 8 (TIWN): led left front government have ruling the state more than thirty decades. But 25 lakh people in the state unable to purchase rice at Rs 3 per kilo. Whereas, the centre is giving thousands and thousands crores of rupees to the state for improving the socio – economic condition of under privilege people. Instead of improving, living standards of BPL (Below Poverty Line) families have deteriorated.

The picture of living standard came to picture after the implementation of  Food Security Act (FSA) on September 1st. Food and civil minister while  announcing the implementation o FSA stated that 25 lakh people will be covered under the act and remaining 14.50 are APL (Above Poverty Line).

As per guidelines of FSA,  20 lakhs of card holders have enlisted in priority group. Each They will get 5 head of family will get  5 kilo of rice @ of Rs 3. The economic  condition of 20 lakh people is so poor that they are unable to purchase one kilo of rice for Rs 3.So the left front government decided to give them rice at Rs 2 per kilo.

The CPI(M) leaders including chief minister Manik Sarkar  makes tall claims that under his rule living standard of people have changed. Nobody begs or has to migrate from the state for earning bread and butter. The tall claims have boomerang after food minster statement. In the state 14 lakhs people are APL and 25 lakhs are BPL.

The left front government have been ruling for more than 30 years. Their main ideology is to remove poverty and improve thesocio –economic condition of people. It is really a irony even after  long  rule 25 lakh of people have no capability to purchase one kilo of rice for Rs 3.  The state has to give a subsidy o f Re 1, that also by hiking rate the APL quota.
