AGARTALA, September 8 (TIWN): Although lots of drama Tripura CM is doing with the tags Poorest and Cleanest Chief Minisiter, in reality Manik has been sheltering Mafias from News Media, who help him to maintain his cleanest image before the public. In return these mafias run yearly events like “Mega Quiz Competition” to raise massive amounts of Govt and Private funds to nurture their luxurious life and bribe officials.

In the name of so called "Mega Quiz', massive funds are collected forcibly by thief named as 'Post office babu' in Pratibadi Kalam.

One such instance has been come out when the Editor of Pratibadi Kalam Anal Roy Chowdhury was given life threats by few mafias sent by a known thief cum owner of an online newsmedia better known as “Post Master Babu”(symbolic name given by Pratibadi Kalam).

For few days Pratibadi Kalam as an independent media disclosed few scams against an News Mafia, who is very close to Tripura CM. Accordingly just after the news got published in newspaper, Newsmafia  started to issue threats to Pratibadi Kalam’s editor. Following that, on 7^th September, regarding this whole incident another news had been published on the front page of Pratibadi Kalam. That news would let anybody to think about what is the real face of Manik ruled Tripura.

“After the Mega Quiz Completion, Pratibadi Kalam will be stopped”, warned  of  “Post Master babu cum professional thief” to Pratibadi Kalam’s Editor. Pratibadi Kalam also quoted that at Lichu Bagan area, in a party mood Post Master Babu said to his friends, “Protibadi Kalam’s Editor will see worse days just after my Mega Quiz’s programme completion”. This Mega Quiz is nothing but to loot people’s money and forcing Govt officials to issue sponsorships.

“Post Master Babu also said, Police are nothing but Government’s servant, they can arrest someone as well as can release them. Post Master Babu said this to two his TPS officer close friends, who are TSR commandants,  who are an intimate part of his Mega Quiz and other corruptions”, according to Pratibadi Kalam’s news.

“Pratibadi Kalam also blasted those two TPS officers,both are Commandants based in Jirania and Amarpur, (Mr.D. Roy and Mr. K.Chakravertty) with the allegations of taking bribes from this mafia “Quiz Babu”for killing Pratibadi Kalam’s Editor Anal Roy Chowdhury in exchange of 40 lakh rupees jewelry.

However, such kind of news just shows the pathetic condition of State Tripura where human rights have gone dead. Moreover the ‘postmaster babu’was arrested in 1996 and later for thefts, and that news had been published in Pratibadi Kalam few days before; and as a result mafia is issuing life threatening warnings to the Editor of Pratibadi Kalam.

However, in Manik’s era, some media houses are funded by CPI-M lobbies just for party publicity. Even crooks, thieves like “Post Office Babu” runs website media and call themselves journalists certainly a shame for State.
