CNG gas to be cut from September 11 temporarily for pipe maintenance work
TIWN

AGARTALA, September 8 (TIWN): In view of maintenance work of the gas pipelines across the state the Tripura Natural Gas Corporation Limited (TNGCL) to cut CNG gas from September 11 for at least 5 days which is expected to cause a serious trouble for the CNG vehicles all over the state.

According the TNGCL authority of the 5 CNG stations only Badharghat CNG station will be kept open while the rest including Udaipur, Khayerpur, Radhanagar and the TRTC CNG stations will remain shut down for 5 days.

However, this is of course expected that the CNG based vehicles would face a serious trouble during the 5 days as almost all the CNG stations will get shut down leaving one open.

The move has come up just to ensure smooth supply of gas through the existing pipelines and so that the consumers do not face trouble during this puja. At present the state has around 10,000 CNG vehicles.

To cater the increasing number of CNG fueled vehicles, the TNGCL has already set up a mother CNG  refilling station at Udaipur and in this regard TNGCL to set up 4 daughter boosters at Amarpur, Shantibazar, Belonia, and Sonamura.

TNGCL is also planning to set up another Mother CNG station at Chandrapur near International Bus terminus and along with 3 daughter booster CNG stations, will also be set up at Teliamura, Khowai and Bisalgarh. At present there are 5 CNG stations, 4 at Agartala and 1 at Udaipur.
