Indo-Bangla good relations to fuel growt | AGARTALA, August 7 (TIWN): With the possibility of economic enhancement towards the prospect of Northeastern states including Tripura, the second Tripura Conclave was held on Thursday at Agartala Rabindra Bhawan under the initiative of TIWN. Students, Guardian Forum demands to lega | AGARTALA, August 7 (TIWN): The Students’ Guardian Forum on Thursday demanded the Tripura High Court to legalise the private tuition by the government teachers for at least three years in view of better future of the student. However, hearing the case on Thursday the HC had decided to give the final verdict on its next hearing on August 20.The forum on Thursday was in opinion that lack of quality teachers in the government schools across the state had ruined the education system and had left the students move daily to the private tutors.They demanded the HC that in view of the interest of the students the private tuition is required for class 10, class 11 and class 12 standard students for at least three years.Besides, talking to TIWN in regard of the hearing held at HC on Thursday Advocate Dipak Kr. Tripura Govt. doctors finally resumes pr | AGARTALA, August 5 (TIWN): Finally the state government doctors who were in tussle with the High Court opted to resume private practices just after the state health and family welfare department issued a fresh notification mentioning the conditions and the guidelines. Acting on behest of the HC’s direction the state health department on July 31 had issued a notification saying that the government doctors should not indulge in private practice but concentrate on government hospitals only. According to the fresh guidelines of the state government the doctors who apply for private practice shall have to submit details along with the prescribed application form, the doctors shall not do private practices for more than 3 hours on working days and 6 hours in holidays whereas the timings should be prominently displayed outside the private chambers. 100 oil tankers stranded at Dharmanagar | AGARTALA, August 5 (TIWN): In view of the poor service by the Indian Oil Corporation (IOC) and the rampant fuel crisis here at the capital city and other parts of the state the state Food and Civil Supplies Minister Bhanulal Saha had written to the Ministry of Petroleum at New Delhi on Tuesday seeking to restore the irregularities by the IOC. He said, “Over 100 oil tankers arrived here in the state from Shilchar stranded at Dharmanagar currently.†Talking to the reporters here at the civil secretariat on Tuesday minister said that as the network server of the Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) is down currently the IOC is unable to dispatch the stranded oil tankers without uploading the data in their site. “But as an alternate to that the oil tankers can be dispatched manually and later after the server is restored the IOC can easily upload the data in their site with which at least the crisis could be contained here,†claimed Saha.Besides, slamming the IOC authority Saha in view of the LPG cooking gas cylinder crisis said that the concerned authority is reluctant to sort out the problems of their workers who had tenure of only 2 years to work under the IOC in contractual basis. | 05-Aug-2015 |
