‘CM directed DGP K Nagraj to †| AGARTALA / KAILASHAHAR, August 27 (TIWN): Congress leader Birajit Sinha accused Police DGP K.Nagraj and Chief Minister Manik Sarkar for intentionally slowing down investigation of Rs 30 Crore NHM scam in Kailashahar. While talking to TIWN, Sinha accused corrupt DGP Nagraj who is charge sheeted by CBI in 2007 in disproportionate assets case, for hampering investigation under the instruction of Chief Minister. “NRHM scam’s investigation procedure under DGP K. Bhowmik who is also BJP spokesperson said “As a Chief Minister he has already failed to perform, which is known to all but as Home Minsiter he failed miserably which is unprecedented for this postâ€, added Bhowmik.Thousands of cases are pending, but due the to lack of proper investigations no law and order can be maintained here in the state, added Bhowmik.According to Advocate Bhowmik, crimes against women are very rampant at Tripura. Dowry deaths,tortures are so high that Tripura Police even shy to mention statistics. Increasing rates of murder and repetitive police’ failures to get any clue to find out the murderers are example of law-less society.Bhowmik further mentioned about Jiten Das’s wife Kalpana Das’s murder case and very recently held Santa Saha’s murder case.
