Beside several untoward incidents had been reported from Udaipur and Panisagar today. As per police version, at 7.30am, 15 to 20 supporters of congress took out a procession from Narendranagar in support of 12 hours Tripura Bandh. Exceptional SC/ST Promotion Case: Govern | AGARTALA, November 20 (TIWN): Thousands of posts reserved for SC & ST are still lying vacant in different departments of the State Govt , as per the list submitted by the State Government. "Was Advocate General Bijan Kanti Das informed about that or not?" Chief Justice Deepak K Gupta asked this while presiding over the Hearing of the full bench of HC in the exceptional Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribes Reservation and Promotion case. As these posts can be kept vacant only for a limited period, and not for decades, the case must be sorted out soon .However, Advocate General of Tripura has failed to provide any concrete answer it in the 1st Session in High Court. He is likely to make his point clear in the 2nd Session. It is to be mentioned here that, the State Government had submitted a list where 35,000 vacant posts for SC/ST still exist. On the other hand, Chief Justice also urged not to make this matter politicized.The second day hearing of of the Full Bench of the High Court continued in a row.. Acting on a secret information police arrested four suspected terrorists at around 6.30pm on Tuesday night from the Nabashakti Sangha area in NH 44. Police got a secret information that four suspected terrorists were coming from Silachhari area in a private car. Accordingly police set a trap to arrest them. At 6.30pm Sub Inspector of Udaipur Traffic Unit Amulya Kumar Bhowmik saw a Maruti Alto car TR03H-0466 coming from Amarpur road and when it reached Nabashakti Sangha near Fulkumari Amulya stopped the car. In it were Shantimoni Chakma(41), S/O-Sunil Chakma of Matiranga, Khagrachhari of Bangladesh, Subhalal Chakma(39)S/O- Jiban Kumar Chakma, Smt Rekha Mog(35),W/O-Subhalal and Smt Mafru Mog(30), W/- Monoj Mog - all from Silachhari under Karbook Sub Division. On that day Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the Commercial Generation from the Unit-II of OTPCs 726.6 Combined Cycle Gas Turbine (CCGT) Thermal Power Plant. A highly placed sources in the Union Ministry informed TIWN on Wednesday that after continuous requests from Tripura Chief Minister Manik Sarkar, PMO has ultimately given green signal to that request. After the return of Prime Minister Narendra Modi from Australia, the details of the visit will be finalized. And the state govt is likely to make an official announcement either on 20th November or on 21st November about Modi's visit. Mr. Permit Singh Patwala, Additional Solicitor General of Supreme Court and Rituraj Biswas acted as the Government lawyers and Smt.Kiran Suri acted as the defence lawyer to fight the case.
