NLFT insurgents are regrouping in Bangla | AGARTALA, November 8 (TIWN): The National Liberation Front of Tripura (NLFT) insurgents are regrouping at Bangladesh to strengthen their outfits, said a highly placed official of an Indian intelligence agency.A total of 15 militant camps still exist along the Indo-Bangladesh international border, said sources. Of the total 15 militant camps, ultras from Tripura having all the hideouts, mostly belonging to banned outfits National Liberation Front of Tripura (NLFT), the source further added.Most of these hideouts were concentrated at Chittagong Hill Track (CHT) in the neighboring country Bangladesh. New suspense in multicrore MGNREGA scam: | AGARTALA, November 7 (TIWN): In the sensational multicrore scam of Bishalgarh Rural Development Block, Tripura High Court on Friday had rejected the bail plea of the R.D Assistant Engineer, Mita Malakar. It is to be mentioned here that, being the accused behind the scam, Mrs. Malakar had appealed to the High Court to avoid police investigation for granting her bail plea. But the Court after understanding the depth of the scam, on Friday, bench of Justice S.C. Das had rejected the plea.The scamster of multicrore MGNREGA scam,Bimal Chakraborty was again sent to 14days jail remand. However,another case had been lodged against him under Section 120 (B). On the other hand, search warrant had already been issued against eight accused out of 11. CAG report unearths Rs. 1.5 crore scam : | KAMALPUR, November 7 (TIWN) : The inefficiency of the Officials has caused a great loss to the revenue collection of the State Govt. during 2004-05 to 2012-13 in Sales tax, Vat Tax, leviable interest, penalty and Aditional Sales Tax amounting a total loss of 1,51,3800. The loss in Sales Tax /VAT Tax is 60,30000 rupees ; in leviable interest 51,16,000 rupees; in penalty 38,12,000 rupees and in Additional Tax 1,80,000 rupees.
