AGARTALA, November 21 (TIWN): A team of All India Congress Committee (AICC) comprising of the AICC General Secretary (in-charge) V. Narayanswami, a former Union Minister and AICC Secretary Bhupen Kumar Bora today visited Tripura to evaluate the on-going political situation of the state.

The AICC duo members is also likely to attend the PCC meeting here at Agartala Congress Bhawan today, where the congress members will discuss the present political situation of the state, said PCC working president Ashish Saha.

However, later after evaluating the current political situation of the state and attending the PCC meeting the AICC duo would place a report to the Congress supremo Sonia Gandhi at New Delhi.

It is to be mentioned here that earlier during the congress civil disobedience movement on November 17, AICC Secretary Bhupen Kumar Bora remained present here at Agartala. And later the Pradesh Cpngress on Thursday called for a Tripura Bandh protesting the baton lathi charge of the police during the civil disobedience movement and demanding the immediate resignation of the Chief Minister Manik Sarkar allegedly for his involvement in the massive Tripura corruption.

However, though it’s a time now to witness how the congress taking the help of the AICC deal with the massive Tripura corruption and scams, when on the other the CPI (M) and the left front here at the state are already on a race to hush up everything and to save the image of Manik.
