AGARTALA, November 21 (TIWN): In a new twist in the 50 crore MGNREGA scam under Bishalgarh R.D.Block, the two involved persons named in FIR, Gautam Pal, Work Assistant and Subir Ukil, Work Assistant were seen roaming freely in Krishnagar area like maharajahs today. Now question arises that what kind of role police is playing into the multi-crore scam.

In the RMSA multicrore scam police traced down Arnab Chakraborty  the prime accused from Kokata with in four days, whereas in the MGNREGA multicrore scam till now police managed to arrest only two involved persons out of the 12 persons excluding Scamster Bimal.

So called Mr. clean chief minister Manik Sarkar on October 31 at Sonamura while addressing a mass gathering said that there is no space for corruption in Tripura, but in most of the multicrore scams which occurred in the state recently, all the prime accused are close people fo Chief Minister Manik Sarkar.

According to sources, more 94 corrupt officials of Bishalgarh RD Block names have not been declared by the government till now. As a result, some of the corrupt officials are not coming to office while many of them on official leave. Due to this the work of Bishalgarh RD Block is getting hampered.   

Now, it is quite clear that if police want to arrest the remaining nine involved persons in the MGNREGA multicrore scam they can, but due to the dirty politics of the CPI(M) ruled state government, the police have became dramatists.

A section of people are saying that the police know all the hideouts of the remaining nine involved persons in MGNREGA multicrore scam but due to the high level influence of CPI(M) party and "clean" Chief Minister, police are not able to proceed as per law.

10) Train Kanti Sen, Panchayat Secretary

11) Smt Mita Malakar. Jr Engineer

12) Chayan Nandi Technical Assistant.

The charges lodged against them are 409/468/471/34  of IPC.
