AGARTALA, November 19 (TIWN): On another state govt. corrupted employee Shantanu Das case and even after the passage of six days, since the FIR had been lodged, police failed to arrest the culprit Shatanu Das, posted as a Senior Manager (HR) of Tripura State Electricity Corporation Ltd.

Chief Minister Manik Sarkar’s close aide Shantanu Das had been accused of his physical relation with his colleague promising her of marriage. According to the complaint lodged against him, Shantanu had developed a physical relation with his colleague for the past 4-5 years promising her of marriage and they started living together for the past couple of years. But later Shantanu refused to marry her.

According to the highly placed source, accused Shantanu Das had been in a relation with at least 2 for the last couple of years. And recently Shantanu Das is under the care of Tripura MP (West) Shankar Dutta.

However, following the complaint lodged against Shantanu Das, victim recorded a statement with the court on Thursday and she had obligatory medical tests in AGMC and confirmed her claim. And since than an arrest warrant had been issued against Shantanu and now he is most wanted for the Tripura Police. But most surprisingly accused comrade engineer Shantanu has been found recently roaming free across the capital city and also found to be in front of CPI (M) party headquarter. And on the other talking to the west women PS on Saturday police informed that Shantanu remained absconding due to which police could not arrest him till today.

On the other the TSECL officials stated that Shantanu has been now threatening the lady and her associates for dare consequence unless she withdraw the complaint lodged against him. 

Raising their voice against CM Manik Sarkar’s TSECL close aide comrade engineer Shantanu Das case, the Tripura Pradesh Mahila Congress on Saturday evening knocked the door of Director General of Police DGP K.Nagaraj (in-charge) seeking a legal action against the TSECL CMD, and seeks a reason as why the TSECL accused engineer Shantanu Das has not been arrested yet when an arrest warrant had already been issued against the accused Shantanu.

Meeting with the Tripura Pradesh Mahila Congress delegation on Saturday DGP (in-charge) K.Nagaraj said that all the necessary steps had been taken against the accused TSECL engineer Shantanu Das and he will be arrested soon.

Earlier talking to TIWN, Tripura Pradesh Mahila Congress President Kalyani Rai informed that according to their reliable sources it could be gained that the accused TSECL engineer had been found with Tripura MP at the capital city since after the arrest warrant was issued against him, but police is playing a role of a silent spectator. Beside, recently the TSECL CMD had accepted the official leave of accused Shatanu Das inspite of being a most wanted for the state police.  Therefore the Tripura Pradesh Mohila Congress moved to the DGP K.Nagaraj (in-charge) on Saturday evening seeking a reason behind the issues and to seek a legal action against the TSECL CMD, said Kalyani Rain.

And another burning issue that came out under limelight is, the TSECL CMD S.K. Ray knowing every fact against Shantanu, accepted his official leave, whereas an arrest warrant had already been issued against him. However, this has now raised a big question over the role of the TSECL CMD.

However, though it’s a time now to witness what legal steps does the administration takes against Shantanu Das. But will the legal action be taken against the TSECL CMD when knowing every fact against his employee Shantanu, accepted his official leave?  And this has of course raised a major question against the role of TSECL CMD.

But is to be mentioned here that CPI (M) Melarmath big heads on a race to save Manik’s close aide accused engineer Shantanu Das. During Manik Sarkar’s rule there has developed a circle of corrupt officers, characters comrades and officers in all the department, broker in media, meritless doctors, teachers, professors, engineers at his direct patronize in last five years.Clad in white dress and through some unethical media, Manik sarkar has desperately been trying to portray himself as honest Chief Minister in the country and iconic Marxist character but it now established that he and his close circles of CPI (M) is the main architect of all evils.
