AGARTALA, November 20 (TIWN): In 50 crore MGNReGA scam under Bishalgarh R.D.Block, police is playing fake drama in the name of investigation. After passing many days of lodging the FIR, till now police merely took into custody of only the two accused among the twelve. The case of Bimal was not being under the arrest, as a got up drama of surrender had been played between the police and Bimal to throw dust in the eyes of the people. On the other hand, Bimal is receiving son-in-law kind of treatment and honour in the police remand, in the so-called investigation.

Earlier, in a new twist, after a slumber of around two months after FIR, police netted two close aides of scamster Bimal Chakraborty- GRS Shayamal Debbarma and GRS Sarada Debbarma into the multi-crore MGNREGA scam of Bishalghar block. But more than nine FIR named accused persons are still at large. According to the police, the two GRS, were nabbed from a ganja (cannabis) plantation at Boxanagar area. Police had produced them before the SDJM court, Bishalghar. According to the sources, police are likely to submit the charge-sheet soon. According to the sources, police are taking special care of scamster Bimal in the name interrogation due to his close relationship with Melarmath. The sources also confirmed that kingpin Bimal did not inform any name of political leader during the interrogation in police remand. He has allegedly informed names of a former DM and a SDM including some higher officials. The 9 other FIR named persons is: Nibas Pal, Jr Mechanic, Kishore Kr Banik, Jr Engineer, and Partha Sarkar. Jr Mechanic, Gautam Pal, Work Assistant, DebaprasadNandi, Gram Rojgar Sevak (GRS), Subir Ukil, Work Assistant, Tarun Kanti Sen, Panchayat Secretary, MitaMalakar. In the name of interrogation police are taking special care of scamster Bimal due to his close relation with CM, the source added. However general speculation is that, Bimal's powerful brothers DYFI Secretary Amal Chakraborty, TSR Commandant Kamal Chakraborty, Prof Shyamal Chakraborty and Godfather Manik will save him from this "temporary misery". Scamster BDO Bimal also considered as an intellectual and poet by his corrupt patronizers in CPIM Party and Government, he translated former Chief Secretary S.K.Panda’s book "one plus one equals to eleven" in Bengali.

It is to be mentioned here that, Bimal surrendered before the Bishalgarh Sub-Divisional Judicial Magistrate (SDJM) Court on October 23rd last. The Court sent him to five days police remand.
