Agartala, Nov 19 (TIWN): The CPI-M led state government has lost the way under the immense pressure from opposition Congress pertaining to atrocities on women, multi-crore scams in different blocks and other issues for few months in Tripura. The Congress has been revealing one after another scam reports publicly for past few months.

As a result, not only the status of CPI-M party but also the icon of party and chief minister Manik Sarkar is getting damage day-by-day in the state. At such situation, the party heads are being puzzled to take offensive or defensive action presently. Now the situation is turned into a matter of concern in the national level too.

According to a party source, recently the secretary of CPI-M central committee- Prakash Karat in a function conducted by AICC in New Delhi complained to the AICC vice-president- Rahul Gandhi about the statewide protests of Pradesh Congress against the state government in Tripura. Besides, he also urged Rahul to take proper steps on the issue. But Rahul did not replay anything to him.

A CPI-M party source confirmed, now the entire situation will be handled in the political level. The Pradesh Congress has done enough dramas. Insult to the CM by Pradesh Congress in the name of protest will not be tolerated further, said source.

On the other hand, Tripura Pradesh Congress called 12-hour statewide bandh on tomorrow in protest of lathi-charge imposed by the police, TSR and other security personnel during a civil disobedience movement on November 17 conducted by TPCC. The CPI-M leaders will attempt to capsize the Tripura strike on tomorrow, said a party source.

The source also mentioned, many times CPI-M goes for alliance with Congress in the national level. But in Tripura, Congress is the main opposition party of CPI-M. As an opposition party, Congress can stage protest against state government on different issues, added source.
