AGARTALA, November 20 (TIWN): Game of politics here in Tripura has always been resulting the common mass to be the ultimate sufferers. 12 hours dawn to dusk strike called by the opposition congress today hit the capital city badly. Beside several untoward incidents had been reported from Udaipur and Panisagar today. As per police version, at 7.30am, 15 to 20 supporters of congress took out a procession from Narendranagar in support of 12 hours Tripura Bandh. While the procession was moving around Dhamcherra Market and crossed a steep slope, suddenly, one participant of procession namely Kameshwar Sinha (62) of Narendrapur, Dhamcherra fell ill. Some of the supporters immediately took him to Dhamcherra PHC where doctor declared him ‘brought dead’. As part of staged drama, police were supposed to arrest the picketers and leaders when they were coming out of the Congress Bhawan at Agartala, instead at 1:45pm opposition leader Sudip Roy Barman was heard ordering SDPO (Sadar) Rajendra Dutta and West PS OC Milan Dutta to arrest them after they reach at Paradise Chowmuhani. And police acted accordingly later by arresting them from Paradise Chowmuhani.

Pradesh Congress-police continued drama today came under the limelight.  During the Tripura Bandh today the police talking to the picketers at the rail station,  who  stopped the train services, whereas the picketers were supposed to be court arrested.

Taking to the media persons here in Agartala, opposition leader Sudip Roy Barman criticized the role of the police alleged that during the picketing at Dhamcherra area under Panisagar Constituency one congress supporter died due to police atrocities. He also alleged that the CPI (M) had been forcing the officegoers today to be present at their offices. Whereas on the other the police had been playing a role of boss here at the capital city Agartala, alleged Sudip Roy Barman.

A huge team of police had been deployed today here at the capital city and other parts to prevent any untoward incidents. And on the other the congress supporters came out on to the streets for the picketing. Talking to the media persons today PCC working president Ashish Saha alleged that the police as usual had been playing their own role on behest of the CPI (M).

The Tripura Bandh today badly paralysed the normal life as well as it has become another problem for the workers like the daily labourers and others. Beside, the schools had been closed hampering the students and their ongoing examinations.

Though the ruling left front here in Tripura deep necked in corruption had opposed the Tripura bandh called by the opposition congress, but the Bandh today must be a lesson for the CPI (M) and its left front govt.

The Tripura Pradesh Congress on Monday called a 12 hour dawn to dusk strike in Tripura on November 20 to protest against the police lathi charge on party workers and to demand CBI probe into alleged corruption in many blocks of the state. But the CPI (M) had strongly opposed the bandh accusing the congress trying to create anarchy in the state.

At least 52 congress protestors including women injured on police lathi charge on Monday during the congress civil disobedience movement against the massive corruption in Tripura. Beside Opposition leader Sudip Roy Barman, Youth Congress President Shushanta Chowdhury, TPCC working president Ashish Kumar Saha along with other leaders sustained injury on lathi charge. And this must be a signal of an end of Manik’s rule – claimed Congress working president Ashish Kumar Saha. Whereas on the other the CPI (M) and the Left Front govt. opposed Nov 20 Tripura Bandh

It is, when the Congress came on a field to protest the recent corruptions and scams, and atrocities on women, the CPI (M) is on a race to save the left front govt. here at Tripura. The CPI (M) had already taken their steps in their own way to hush up every corruptions and scams that occurred allegedly under Chief Minister Manik Sarkar – the so called Mr. White. And here again it is one of their part that the CPI (M) had opposed the Tripura Bandh.

However it is to be mentioned here that since after the Tripura Pradesh Congress busts out the massive corruption at Bishalgarh RD Block, the CPI (M) party workers and the Left front govt. found to be deep necked in corruption, and with which the big heads of the Melarmath headquarter stands tall till today and they say – “No issue to make the water dirty”. Corruption had gripped all most every blocks of the state amidst which a section of corrupted employees of the state govt. had already came under the limelight. Whereas on the other the Police as well as CM Manik Sarkar found to be acting as a silent spectator and seems to have opened the gateway of corruption at large now.

At the end of the day, its a huge waste of taxpayers money as crores and crores are spent for security, extra forces and financial loss of businesses. However this "bandh-culture " is a trade mark of CPIM which opposition parties copied in successive generations.
