Mamata dominates over Manik ruled Tripur | AGARTALA, Aug 3 (TIWN): Ahead of TMC supremo Mamata Banerjee’s arrival in the state on August 9, a team of West Bengal police have arrived in the state on Wednesday to monitor the security checking’s in the state. Arrival of West Bengal police personnel in the state displays that Mamata cannot keep trust on the so called Police force of CM Manik Sarkar in the CPI-M dominated Tripura. Talking to TIWN correspondent, West SP Abhijit Saptratshi confirmed that a team of West Bengal has arrived in the state to do security checking’s of the venue where TMC Supremo will be addressing a mass rally. However, there is no much information if the West Bengal police official is willing to hold any meeting with the state police personnel as it is totally on their call, added West SP. With the improvement in the supply of fuel in the state, petrol pump dealers are claiming that the government will lift the rationing system of fuel distribution in the state by next week. Both NH-8 and NH-208(A) have been repaired as much as possible and works are proceeding on a war-footing. A large number of goods-laden trucks, fuel tankers and other vehicles are passed through the damaged stretches despite rain and bad weather. Maintenance of both the national highways has been going on just to overcome the crisis in Tripura. After the end of monsoon in September, exhaustive repair work would be undertaken. Illegal Petrol-business row: 5000 litre | AGARTALA, Aug 2 (TIWN): When the state is yet to recover from the massive crisis of petrol in the state, a total of 5000litre of petrol which was stored in discarded palace at phoolkumari petrol pump under Udaipur sub-division. In a raid conducted by police on Tuesday at Phulkumari petrol pump police seized a total of 5000 litre of petrol which was stored in a discarded place for black marketing. Adding to the sufferings of the people, long queue of people were found waiting with their motorcycles in front of the petrol pump in the vicinity of Agartala, giving rise to large scale black marketing of oil. Meanwhile; petrol crisis has hit the state capital and sub divisional headquarters. Motor cycle users of the city have been facing an unprecedented crisis following the unavailability of fuel in most of the petrol pumps, catering to the requirement of motorists of the city and its surrounding areas.Most of the motorcyclist had to wait for more than two hours in a queue to refill their vehicles.Outside in the black market petrol was available at Rs.150 to 200 per liter but that is also adulterated with kerosene. Most of the filling stations have put the board of no petrol but actually there is oil. This time TIWN unearthed how the law and order are managed by few fuel smugglers. Police in Panisagar has given free pass the blackmailers and underground business going on in full swing. Sources said that police do not have to buy petrol from smugglers, rather those smugglers gift some petrol to police so that they can run their business smoothly. Talking to TIWN correspondent, Executive Engineer Silchar Division Malay Deb said that both the roads are limping back to normalcy and vehicles are entering the state regularly at frequent intervals.When asked about the status of the highway and the alternative highway, Deb said that renovation work is underway and will be repaired soon. Covering a distance of around 2,480 km in 47 hours the train will reach Delhi from Agartala for the first time after it was inaugurated on Sunday on the newly laid BG tracks. However, amidst Agartala and Delhi the train will give stoppage at number of stations. Starting from Agartala, it will pass through Ambassa, Dharmanagar, karimganj, badarpur, New Halflong, Lumbding, Hojai, jaigi road, Guwahati, New Bongaigau, New Jalpaiguri, katihar, barauni junction, patliputra junction, Mugalsarai, Allahabad, Kanpur central and then to Anand Vihar terminal. CPI-M blamed Central Govt for slow progr | AGARTALA, August 1 (TIWN): Manik Sarkar led CPI-M should learn how to thank others for good works, especially Central Govt for gifting Railways to Tripura.In a historical day, CPI-M couldn’t forget their cheap politics, thus calculated speeches were delivered to glorify CPI-M's achievements. In his speech MP Shankar Prasad Dutta said that Tripura's Railway service is the result of Communists’ long demand and protests since decades. MP also asked why Rail-line till Sabroom has not been expanded yet although the deadline crossed on 2015. CPI-M MP Shankar Prasad also said, “I request Railway Minister Suresh Prabhu to look after the Agartala-Kolkata railway service issue as people are demanding for it". Similarly, Rajya Sabha MP Jharna Das Baidya also ecohed the same words of MP Shankar Prasad Dutta and criticized NFR ( Railways) for slow progress of Sabroom Rail-link work. Under the instruction of his master, Manik Dey said the fight for railway started since 1952 when demand for railways was placed before parliament. Chief Minister Manik Sarkar cunningly avoided thanking Railway Minister Suresh Prabhu for announcing Rs 7000 crores for railways expansion in Northeast in 2016-17 fiscal year.CPI-M woman MP said, this BG railway service was a joint work by CPI-M state govt and central govt even though State Govt had no role in Railway Ministry.However, in 2008 Tripura already got Rail-service from Central Govt but CPI-M leaders never got opportunity for such false publicity.
