AGARTALA, August 1 (TIWN): Manik Sarkar led CPI-M should learn how to thank others for good works, especially Central Govt for gifting Railways to Tripura. In a historical day, CPI-M couldn’t forget their cheap politics, thus calculated speeches were delivered to glorify CPI-M's achievements. In his speech MP Shankar Prasad Dutta said that Tripura's Railway service is the result of Communists’ long demand and protests since decades. MP also asked why Rail-line till Sabroom has not been expanded yet although the deadline crossed on 2015. CPI-M MP Shankar Prasad also said, “I request Railway Minister Suresh Prabhu to look after the Agartala-Kolkata railway service issue as people are demanding for it". Similarly, Rajya Sabha MP Jharna Das Baidya also ecohed the same words of MP Shankar Prasad Dutta and criticized NFR ( Railways) for slow progress of Sabroom Rail-link work. Under the instruction of his master, Manik Dey said the fight for railway started since 1952 when demand for railways was placed before parliament. Chief Minister Manik Sarkar cunningly avoided thanking Railway Minister Suresh Prabhu for announcing Rs 7000 crores for railways expansion in Northeast in 2016-17 fiscal year.CPI-M woman MP said, this BG railway service was a joint work by CPI-M state govt and central govt even though State Govt had no role in Railway Ministry. However, in 2008 Tripura already got Rail-service from Central Govt but CPI-M leaders never got opportunity for such false publicity. Manik Dey was frustrated enough for 2008’s meter gauge’s grand ceremony which CPI-M missed to celebrate like 31st July 2016.

In fact,Chief Minister Manik Sarkar also praised the CPI-M and spent his 1 hour in long speech of fake stories about his student life’s struggle for railways.

Rail Minister Suresh Prabhu said, "In 2014-15, the railway ministry invested Rs 2,702 crore for (this purpose). In the current financial year, the investment will be more than Rs 7,000 crore," Prabhu said here after flagging off the Agartala-Delhi weekly passenger train service.

"Northeast India is a priority area for the central government and Prime Minister Narendra Modi is personally giving special emphasis for the all round development of the region," Railway Minister added.

But Tripura PWD Minister Badal Choudhury addressing the masses said, “This is the right time that I should say from my heart. I thank to Prime Minister Narendra Modi for his special care to North East region. Under his governance such a faster progress in connectivity Tripura has seen. I also thank to the Engineers, workers who dedicatedly completing the work”.

Amidst all the orators it was only Minister Badal Choudhury who thanked openly the Central Govt. However, he didn’t forget to mention about the students-protests held for railway service in Tripura.
