DHARMANAGAR, Aug 1 (TIWN): Giving another shock to Chief Minister Manik Sarkar’s Golden era Tripura has witnessed another bad day when an uemployeed overage graduate attempted to burn himself after he poured kerosene on his body. The incident took place at a market area in Dharmanagar.

The unemployed youth  blamed that the CPI-M govt.’s misleading and cheating had deprived his family due to which he is unable to run his family now.

The youth has been identified as Uttam Kumar Chanda, resident of Rani Rasmani Road, Dharmanagar. He is graduate and his wife also honours-graduate. Since his student life CPI-M MLAs, local leaders were promising him to provide job if he works for the party. He did accordingly as the CPI-M cadres told him, but after becoming overage, atlast out of frustration he attempted to burn ownself. However, locals saved him at the heat of the moment. His family members then brought him to home.

Uttam Chanda runs his family by his few private tuitions, which is not enough to run a 5 members family.

Talking to Uttam Kr Chanda, he said in tearful eyes, “I lost my age for job. Now who will give me job?”. “My wife is 39 and after 1 year she will become overage. How will we run the family?”

He said, “I attended every interview in my life, but didn’t qualify in any of them”.

“Some families have 3 / 4 jobs at together but in some families not a single job is provided.

Uttam Chnda’s wife said, “When she goes for job, cadres tell her you are honours graduate. Why do you need any job which will be low category than your qualification”? “Private tuition can’t run a family”, she said.

In Tripura  educated people are spending livelihood with private tuitions and few become addicted to drugs.

Victim family said that they are licking the boots of CPI-M leaders since 17 / 18 years, but although many suitable candidates are there, but no job is provided to them.

Question arises, is this called the Golden Era of Manik Sarkar? Is this the so called Peace-full state?

Number of suicides, murders, rapes are increasing in state. Due to Communist Govt.’s 23 years of misruling the Educated generation of Tripura now are coming on road in search of livelihood. But as there is no industry, no source of income so the condition of young generation is really bad.
