AGARTALA, Aug 1 (TIWN): Locals locked Mungiakami hospital in demand of better health service.

Reportedly, 46 Miles area’s resident, under Mungiakami, named Indrakumar Malsam admitted his wife Kanyadhan Malsam (28) in Mungiakami Hospital on Monday.

But after they arrived in hospital there was no doctor indeed.

After waiting a lot they asked the employees about doctor’s arrival time. But getting no asnswer the agitated public locked the gate of hospital.

According to the locals the hospital is just for namesake. The office in charge Anita Debbarma never comes in time in the hospital.

The hospital there remains without doctor maximum times. In this condition seriously sick people also do not get any proper medical health care in that hospital.

This is the scenario of Golden Tripura where Ministers claim that under CPI-M regime the health service has been rapidly developed.

On July 28, during Hepatitis Day Minister Tapan Chakraborty said that there are 90 health care centres presently in Tripura where works are going on and Govt.’s target is to complete 125 total within next year.“Tripura has less number of private hospitals, as 90 % of health treatment are taken care by Tripura Govt. As people go for govt. hospitals the business of Private Hospitals are not at all here. Poor people can not go for luxurious hospital also”, he added.

Apart from Mungiakami, Malaria has hit state, as Bhagirath ADC village, Gandachara are also now under the threat of malaria germs. But lack of infrastructure has hit the health service in across the state.
