AGARTALA, Aug 2 (TIWN): Travelling public of Tripura heaved a sigh of relief after AGARTALA DELHI BG Train services. Thousands of cheerful people gathered at the Agartala railway station to witness the historic moment, with some women blowing conch shells to wish the formal launch of the train services a successful one. All ready all Tickets sold in all category in this month.

With Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s effective look east policy Tripura got its first BG express train on Sunday. The moment was filled with Joy and ecstasy when the air was filled with the whistle of the BG Express train.Adding another milestone in the history of Tripura, the land-locked state has finally made its entry in the BG railway map of the country.

Improving the transport and connectivity in the landlocked Tripura of the northeast region is one of the top most priorities of the Modi’s look east policy. A lot of focus is being laid to enhance railway connectivity in the region.

Finally the century old and much awaited dream of the people of the landlocked state came true when the first BG train was inaugurated with joy and enthusiasm from the end of the people.

With the resumption of train services, rush of passengers has been unprecedented. There is enough reason for passengers to prefer journey by train.

In fact, there has been a sense of panic among the people of Tripura to travel by highway to Guwahati and beyond due to frequent fatal accidents on the most dangerous stretch of Sonapur in East Jaintia Hills of Meghalaya.

The people of Tripura in particular avoid the Churaibari-Badarpur stretch of NH 6 as the highway is almost non-existent. Even today, nearly a hundred vehicles, mostly goods laden trucks, are stranded from the entry point of Tripura to Patharkandi in Karimganj district.
