PANISAGAR, Aug 2 (TIWN): Statewide agonies of Petrol-Crisis brought severe pressure even upon the Cabinet Ministers also, open black marketing of fuel has hit the Law and Order situation of Panisagar. This time TIWN unearthed how the law and order are managed by few fuel smugglers. Police in Panisagar has given free pass the blackmailers and underground business going on in full swing. Sources said that police do not have to buy petrol from smugglers, rather those smugglers gift some petrol to police so that they can run their business smoothly. Police in uniform has surrendered before local smugglers. TIWN correspondent has taken few exclusive photos, also identified the name of the shop-keepers. These unmarked shops donot have any name, but one of the shop keeper has been identified as Bapan Nath. His fuel smuggling shop is just at opposite side of the SDPO office and near to Panisagar Municipal Office. Now question arises, if this is the situation of state’s law and order how the petrol crisis will diminish in state? Whereas high level officials like IG, DIG, DM are trying to pacify the public and trying to end fuel problems, but the open black marketing has remained unchecked everywhere.

 Is this so called “Golden Era” of Tripura where law & order failed to stop even daytime smuggling businesses ?

For last 23 years due to PWD corruption and mismanagement resulted in Tripura’s such crisis situation. Fuel theft, black-marketing have become common issues in state. In this situation agitated common people are blocking roads, asking questions to the ruling party the cause behind such crisis situation.

However, ruling party cadres are openly threatening the common people whoever coming forward to protest.

Question remains will the public of Tripura ever receive human rights? Or Tripura will continue to reel under cadre Raj?

The hot business of fuel theft/smuggling  in local shops are leading to acute petrol crisis, but local policemen  themselves are involved in this massive corruption. Police was found openly buying / inspiring black marketers for illegal fuel business.

It’s very surprising that whereas the petrol pumps are dried up due to huge crisis fueled by NH-44’s pathetic condition, on the other hand, it’s found that the children in local areas are selling petrol directly to the bikers and other vehicular.

When state’s law and order reels under massive fuel theft, the Nrth Tripura District Administration turned a blind eye from the burning issue.

TIWN already has shown how the petrol tankers from Guwahati are stranded and petrol theft continued in  broad da light, the truck drivers selling the fuel to the local shop-keepers at North Tripura. Surprisingly Police, and Dist. authorities always keeping numb over the issue.
