Tripura's 1st Flyover construction : Soil test work for Fly-over extended towards Melarmath

AGARTALA, August 25 (TIWN): Soil test for the first ever fly-over connecting Dropgate to Fire-Brigade Chowmuhani via Battala has been extended towards Melarmath to wind up the process of soil testing in the entire area. It is the last spot for conducting soil test.The soil test for the fly over from Drop gate to Battala is already winded up and is extended towards TCW office at Melarmath. The soil test is undergoing progress in 2 spots of Melarmath. It is to be mentioned here that pilling for fly over has already began in Fire brigade chowmuhani after the successful conduct of the soil test.The flyover construction work is going on full swing from Agartala Battala to Drop Gate area with a target to complete the entire work by 30 months as tied by the state government.With the work in progress load testing for pillaring is under full swing at Battala. After Battala, considered to be the main centre point of the flyover construction work, the engineers had carried out the drilling procedure up to Fire brigade chowmuhani area amidst deployment of traffic police.Besides, the incessant rain over past few days had failed to bring any barrier in the construction work which undergoes in full swing for Agartala to have its first flyover with the Left front government eyeing forward to bring a revolution to the history of land-locked Tripura.

The soil testing work is currently in progress at the mentioned route and is likely to be wrapped up soon. The soil testing is already completed at Bordowali area and is going in full fledged manner at Melarmath as the one end of the fly over will meet at Melarmath. At present the entrusted Nagarjuna Construction Company (NCC) has undertaken the soil testing work in at least 10 spots from Battala to Drop Gate amongst which 4 to 5 has been completed.

However, it is to be mentioned here that once the construction of the fly-over is completed the traffic chaos of Battala will come to an end.

According to the section of city dwellers the fly over would be blessing for the people living in Agartala city, as the pupils can never be on time in their office or school due to the tremendous traffic issue. Mainly the Battala station, which have junction of more than four roads passing and connecting to a single road have been causing the maximum traffic jam.

The main motive of creating the Fly-Over Bridge is to seek solution to hectic traffic jam at Battala. As day by day the population and the number of vehicles are increasing, the problems arises in traffic system too.
