AGARTALA, August 26 (TIWN): Tripura Pradesh Mohila Cong. President Kalyani Roy has given a logical calculation of the whole episode where an auto driver on the day light had slapped a girl namely Minakshi Debnath after which she came on the limelight of all political parties and medias and how police acted on that case. While Kalyani Roy had been asked why after any incident all the political parties limelight on that issue and after few days they forget about the issue, Roy replied that it is the duty of all the political parties and as well as medias to maintain a consistency of any case, so that victims may not loss the hope.

However, Roy further gave details on the whole story of auto driver Litan Paul’s arrest and how police acted according to the dictation of the ruling party. Not only the police, she further blames that the student union(SFI) also played very unfair in this case, although Minakshi is a member of SFI.

Police might be was in dilemma because, although Minakshi is a member of  SFI, Litan Paul is of CITU. As both of them were members of the ruling party sections, so police lingered the issue. “Here in this state police do not take any action without the dictation of ruling party”, said Roy. “But the way in which CPI-M managed it was mind-blowing”, she said, and added, “But at last Litan had been arrested”. CPI-M played so, as they do not want to see any issue in the state, which may bring an affect in “vote-banks”.

After the incident SI Paramita Saha said on her defense said that police did not arrest the auto driver as Minakshi did not lodged any FIR. 

However it’s to be said that polices’ knowledge in law and order is so very poor that they don’t know(or acted to be unknown) that in Indian Constitution it is written that in such cases anybody can lodge an FIR, not necessary the victim has to be presented at that moment. Roy further questions on the role of Paramita Saha, as a police officer and asked why she herself didn’t lodge any FIR?

However, it will be surprising to say that the girl, who is also an SFI member, had been asked by the ruling party to be silent and as a result her mobile had been switched off for a long day. And on the next day Minakshi with SFI gave deputation in SI office. Question arises why SFI did not go to the West P S, rather than SI office? , said Kalyani Roy. And answer is very simple that SFI was just showing themselves off before the public to gather the sympathy for the party.

However, Cong. is sucessful to arrange the suspension order of SI Paramita Saha who was the main accused in this case, said Kalyani Roy.
