Women murders continue in 'golden tripura' :Dowry claims one more at Udaipur, complaint lodged

UDAIPUR, August 27 (TIWN): In a tragic development, in lawless state under Manik's golden Tripura, a 23 year old woman was pushed to death in demand of dowry at Udaipur Gorji area on Wednesday morning.

The deceased is identified as Bina Marak resident of Amarpur sub-division area.

Resentment brewed up on Wednesday morning when Bina Marak allegedly given poison by her in-laws and pushed her to death for her family not giving dowry.

Getting alarm, the Udaipur women police reached to the spot and recovered the body from her in-laws and sent the body for post mortem to Gomoti district hospital.

Reportedly, Bina got married two years back to Chandan Marak, a driver by profession and since than chandan has been torturing his wife for dowry both physically and mentally.

However, the parents of Bina alleged that Bina’s husband and in-laws has been torturing her for dowry over past many days. Failing to give the amount of Rs.50, 000 they have been torturing her brutally.

They further alleged that the in-laws along with her husband have given her poison to death.

However, Pritish Marak, father of Bina marak a housewife, logged a written complaint against the husband Chandan marak and his family at Udaipur Women police station for killing his daughter. In his complaint, Marak alleged that Chandan had an altercation with Bina over the dowry issue. After that his daughter was allegedly killed by her husband and in-laws over the dowry demands.

However, police is further investigating the case.
