AGARTALA, August 26 (TIWN): Countdown begins for the state CPI-M party as the people of the state began to see BJP as an alternative to CPI-M, said Union Minister Babul Supriyo.Addressing the press meet at BJP state office on Wednesday, Supriyo further said that People have seen decades of misrule in the state and looting of the funds meant for the development of people. Only BJP under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi can bring about the overall development of the state.Only BJP can light the dawn of overall development in state, said Supriyo.Supriyo on his one day visit in the state said, Prime Minister Narendra Modi led BJP govt. at the central can only bring the state of Tripura in the developmental map of the country.He said that Centre is pro-active about North East and will initiate measures to bring the region’s development on par with other developed parts of the country. There is no dearth of fund but the respective state governments of the region should ensure judicious utilization of all Central funds, added Supriyo.No matter how much money the Central Government sends here, the development of north-east cannot take place unless a corruption-free government comes to power.

 Supriyo further urged the people of north-east to remove corrupt governments and give the BJP a chance to set a corruption-free government.

Ahead of AMC and Nagar panchayat poll union minister of state for urban development Babul Supriyo in a one day visit at Agartala said that Modi is the true leader of the nation.

However, the meeting was presided by BJP state president Sudindra Das gupta.

He also spoke on the failures of the Left Front government despite its regime in the state for more than a decade.

In his address, he has highlighted the disruptions led by the Congress in Parliament which stalled the Land Acquisition Bill.  Congress has been misleading at the centre during its tenure, added Supriyo.

Aiming to revitalize the political status of Bharatiya janata Party Union Minister of State for Urban Development Babul Supriyo visited Agartala as a part of his tour to parliament constituencies of the Left Front and Congress Member of Parliaments (MPs).

As a part of his visit he also attended a rally at Paradise Chowmuhani which was attended by thousands of BJP supporters.

The party has recently constituted a 10-member committee ahead of coming civic elections to conduct weekly meetings. As a part of their campaign for the coming elections, Supriyo has arrived in the state.
