AGARTALA, August 25 (TIWN): When Tripura's most corrupt Chief Minister roaming in Delhi with begging bowl to fill coffers for CPI-M party and State Govt, the law & order situation of state hit rock bottom with increasing rapes,murders, assaults on women. “Police acting according to the ruling party’s order”, said Dr. Ashok Sinha to TIWN on Monday evening. CBI chargesheeted corrupt DGP K.Nagraj led Tripura Police’s numb role came into limelight when on Monday addressing the press meet at Congress Bhawan, Congress Spokesperson Dr. Ashok Sinha accused Tripura police with crime statistics and said “police acting under the direction of the ruling party”.Talking to TIWN, State Cong. leader Birajit Sinha over phone aid that in past 30 months 563 rape cases have been registered in the state, out of which only 21 cases have been solved.Collecting further data, Sinha mentioned that in the running year(2015) 183 rape incidents had been occurred in state.“If police had done its duty fully, then law and order of the state would not be violated to such an extent”, claimed Cong leaders.Moreover the data which was disclosed to TIWN it has been found that 352 suicide cases have been occurred in last 6 months out of which many were farmers, although wily Manik Sarkar claimed that not even a single farmer committed suicide in Tripura.

Stressing upon the issue where a girl was assaulted by auto driver in a broad day light Sinha said that police only will take initiative to arrest the accused driver Liton Sil until they get a nod from the big heads of the ruling party. However, police is hyper active and violant if youths do peaceful agitation in front of Minister Manik Dey’s home, said Vicky Prasad to TIWN on Monday. 

So, Cong. is going for a state level drive against state govt.’s corruption in all departments.

Congress to organize State level convention in September against the corruption under CPI-M rule in Tripura, focus will be on the corruptions held at MGNREGA, Horticulture, IAW, Fishery, Education.

Cong. leader Sudip Barman was mentioning while talking to TIWN that Kumarghat Horticulture scam hit the state.

“The Audit Directorate on the accounts of Deputy Director, Horticulture (North Tripura) Kumarghat observed financial irregularities to the extent of Rs. 5.23 crores for the period from March 1, 2013 to August 8, 2014 that is for 17 months.But govt. is anyhow to manage the situation simply by not taking any proper action against the corrupted persons.”, said Barman.

Birajit Sinha mentioned to TIWN about Unokoti’s district’s fishery, water-body, MGNREGA and as well as IAY’s embezzlement of moneys, which are going to be diclosed soon on the next month.

From 17 crore’s MGNREGA Scam in Bishalgarh R.D.Block to IAY’s embezzlement of money in many parts of the state, will be raised in the month of September. Cong assured.

However, as a part of the protest against the corruption in the state, congress has scheduled to stage state level convention within next September. 

It’s to be mentioned also that BJP spokeman Arun Kanti Bhowmik on Monday told TIWN that Chief Minister is an example of unsuccessful Home Minister.

So CM should immediately resign from the Home affairs as at his rule law and order has been violated here in the state.

Now the question is when oppositions are so much voicing against the CM on the basis of law and order maintenance, will CM try to make the situation better in the state or he will simply say “oppositions have shown a false data, which is incorrect. Tripura is a crime-free state.”
