Flyover construction gains speed : agenc | AGARTALA, Jan 15 (TIWN): Although after a pause, finally the flyover construction has gain speed at Battala. With the completion of construction of the basement for pillaring at various spots the workers have begun the work of pillaring and cement casting at different spots. With the aim to finish the work in the given deadline, the agency has speed up their work. Looking forward to complete the fly over construction in the given deadline, the work is progressing in full swing. However, with the completion of the soil test and load testing at different spots, pillaring work is progressed and expanded at the Nagerjala spot. It is to be mentioned here that as Battala has an open space, the construction agency has chosen Battala to begin with the cement casting work. A total of 65 pillars will be constructed for the first ever flyover which will connect from Drop gate to fire brigade Chowmuhani. Once the cement casting for the first pillar at Battala gets complete the construction work will be expanded towards Bordowali. Preparation in progress, Tripura to get | AGARTALA, Jan 15 (TIWN): Tripura is all set to get faster internet connection as the inauguration of internet Bandwidth is just a few days’ away, said BSNL DGM U.C. Bhowmik. Talking to TIWN correspondent on Thursday, BSNL DGM U.C. Bhowmik said that the work of laying optical fibre is complicated and once the inauguration is held the landlocked state is expected to get faster internet connectivity. Reiterating the words of the Chief General Manger (CGM), NE circle-I KK Saxsena, Bhowmik said that if possible the inauguration of the Internet gateway through Cox Bazar’s submarine cable would be done in the January itself. Necessary testing and security checking on the new system are in the process from both the side of Bangladesh as well as India. The much awaited aim of Tripura to emerge as the Third internet gateway is not a far away as the work is underway in full swing to meet the deadline by January and began the service full-flegedly. Tripura Assembly winter session : State | AGARTALA, Jan 14 (TIWN): The fifth day of the Tripura assembly on Thursday began with the question answer session between the opposition and the ruling govt. Amidst the question hour, leaders of the opposition party raised various issues including the case of Sushil Chowdhury released acquitted from the jail. In a question raised by the opposition MLA Asish Kumar Saha, in the fifth day of the Assembly, Home minister Manik Sarkar said that the state government is willing to move the case to the Supreme Court. With allegations raised by the opposition regarding the misappropriation of judgement against the murder case, MLA Asish Saha raised the issue that in most of the murder cases the accused are running free outside the bars and no proper action is taken against the murderer. Following the pressure from the opposition, CM Manik Sarkar said that investigation was conducted with details into the matter but releasing Sushil Chowdhury acquitted was the decision of the High court. The opposition stated that in most of the cases the accused don’t get punishment and neither investigation is done into the murder case. After the allegation raised by MLA Ashis Saha, CM Manik Sarkar said that the investigation is regularly conducted into all the murder cases and regarding the Ganadoot Triple murder case the state government will file the case to Supreme Court and further investigation will be conducted into it. It can be expected that the indo-Bangla rail link will also get a boost as it is another major way to get connected with Kolkata via the neighbouring country of Bangladesh. But what became inevitable with that funding and development was the random practice of embezzlement, corruption and bribery.
