Third day of Tripura Assembly: Demands to set up more Nationalized and Commercial bank service in the interior of the state

AGARTALA, Jan 13 (TIWN): While the assembly session observes several question answer round, Minister in-charge of the Tribal Welfare Department on Tuesday discussed on the issue of taking initiatives over rehabilitation of the families who are allotted with land under the Forest Act.

The issue has been raised by MLA Padma Kumar Debbarma, MLA Basudev Majumder and MLA Manindra Chandra Das to make a statement on a matter of Urgent Public Importance.

Besides, MLA Samir Deb Sarkar, MLA Sudhan Das and MLA Lalit Kumar Debbarma raised the issue to set up more Nationalized and commercial bank service in the isolated parts of the state to make a statement by the Minister in-charge of the Finance Department.

On the other hand, Minister in-charge of the Power Department to make statement on calling attention notice of MLA Tapan Chandra Das, MLA Gouri Das and MLA Priyamani Debbarma over the issue of providing electricity connection in every residential area.

However, the third day of the assembly tabled the appropriation accounts for the year 2014-15, the finance accounts (Volume I and II) for the year 2014-15 relating to the State of Tripura, the annual reports of the Tripura Jute Mills Limited for the year ended on March 31 2014.

The 34th Annual Report of the Tripura Tea Development Corporation for the financial year 2013-14, the annual report of the Tripura Electricity Regulatory Commission for the year 2014-15, the thirty-seventh annual report and accounts of the Tripura Forest Development and Plantation Corporation Limited for the year 2012-2013 were also tabled.

However, the first day of the Winter Session Assembly begun with the speech of Governor Tathagata Roy at State Assembly House of Capital Complex.

The assembly session will continue for more two days, as it is of five days session.

However, Saturday and Sunday the assembly session was suspended and restarted from Monday and will continue till Thursday.
