AGARTALA, Jan 13 (TIWN): The fourth day of the winter session of Tripura Assembly once again witnessed a chaotic situation when both the opposition and ruling government started protesting in the well after the expelled MLA Manoranjan Acharjee issue triggered resentment.
The resentment even forced CM Manik Sarkar to interfere in the scuffle created by the opposition.
The fourth day of the winter assembly session witnessed revolt as opposition raised the issue of arresting accused expelled MLA Monaranjan Acharjee in allegation of sexual abuse of a minor girl.
The short session of the Tripura Assembly on Wednesday began on a stormy note, as opposition parties, raised the issue of the MLA Manoranjan Acharjee release order on bail from the court.
However, assembly session turned into battlefield when the opposition pointed the involvement of the ruling government behind the release order rapist MLA Manoranjan Acharjee on bail.
Amidst the question hour, leaders of the opposition and the ruling party were on their feet in the well and got into scuffle among them on the same issue.
With the rising violence in the assembly between the members of the treasury bench and the members of the opposition, CM Manik Sarkar has come down from his place in front of the well. Allegations are also raised against the opposition regarding attacking the members of the ruling party and trying to get engaged in a scuffle.
Ruckus marked the fourth day of the assembly session on Wednesday when the Speaker of the assembly Ramendra Chandra Debnath suspended the assembly for few minutes on a stormy note.
Failing to control the situation, speaker of the assembly Ramendra Chandra Debnath suspended the assembly session for few minutes.
Although the assembly session begin few minutes after the suspension but it once again began on a stormy note.
However, Governor of Tripura Tathagata Roy kicked off the winter session of the State Assembly on Friday at 11 a.m. at State Assembly House of Capital Complex.
As per the regulation the first day of the session began with the speech of Governor Tathagata Roy.
The assembly session will continue for one more day till January 14. The winter session of the assembly has tabled vote-on-account and place a new bill-‘Indian system of Medicine-2016.
The fourth day of the session once again witnessed serious revolt by the Monaranjan issue at the assembly and followed by a fight among the members of the treasury bench and opposition in the assembly.
