UDAIPUR / AGARTALA, Sept 2 (TIWN): ‘Fairy tales of Manik Sarkar’s Golden Tripura’ seems to have no endings in sight. Scam after scams, corruptions destroyed every pillar of State Govt Departments. From Education to Healthcare, Power to Industry, extreme darkness engulfing state under lameduck CM’s poor leadership. Now another major corruption by Govt Doctors causing heavy resentments among the public of Udaipur, where a school student was given saline, which expired date already crossed in the month of July. According to the reports, on September 1, Debjani Bhowmik, student of Hari Ananda Girls School fainted during her school hours. Immediately she was taken to the Tripura Sundari Jilla Hospital, where she was given saline. It was her father Dipankar Bhowmik who discovered that his daughter had been pushed with poisonous saline which already expired. Surprisingly when he reported to doctor who was in duty, Dr. Tamal Sarkar behaved with the patient party very rudely. Then Dipankar Bhowmik called the media and accordingly it was discovered that hospital was stored with expire-dated saline bottles. Jawhar Das, the store-man has been alleged the main culprit of organized corruption.From confirmed sources it was learnt that Dr. Tamal Sarkar, Store-man Jawhar Das are all part of organized corruption ring backed by CPI-M leaders.

Talking to TIWN, Gomati District CMO (Chief Medical Officer) Nirmohon Jamatia over phone said, “Within wednesday, we plan to action against Dr. Tamal Sarkar”. “I had been informed about the incident and I asked Sub-divisional Medical Officer Bishnu Dey to take care of this matter, however it is quite visible that it was a major lapse caused by Doctor’s negligence”, said CMO Jamatia. 

“It’s sad that some Doctors are behaving with patients badly”, he further said pointing at Dr. Tamal sarkar. Presently there are only 5 doctors at Tripura Sundari Jilla Hospital.

However, talking further about the infrastructure of the hospital he said, the hospital needs repairing and few maintenance works.

It’s to be mentioned that Tripura Sundari Hospital is suffering badly due to lack of proper facilites, staffs, and maintenance. Once the Gomati Dist. Hospital was made, the official neglect and decline of Tripura Sundari Hospital started. 

However, presently Gomati Dist. is suffering from lack of a proper Health Center. Neither the Dist. nor the Sub-divisional Hospital is in a good shape. Gomati Dist. hospital also many times alleged for wrong medical treatment and other things. For both the hospitals' bad shapes, former Health Minister Tapan Chakraborty is responsible who decided to shift Sub-divisional Hospital at Tepania by making it a Dist. Hospital, claimed opposition Cong. 

However, later it was decided that both the hospitals will be maintained well, but unfortunately presently sub-divisional (Tripura Sundari Hospital) hospital is undergoing in deplorable condition. Moreover, doctors’ negligence hit whole Udaipur.
