KAILASAHAR, November 7 (TIWN): When Mr. Clean Chief Minister planning to sit in demonstration in front of Parliament House from 26 November protesting against Centre’s fund curtailment of MGNREGA and demanding more flow of MGNREGA Fund, but his administration at different Blocks failed to utilize the Centre’s sanctioned money and generate mandays for the job seekers. Such an incident of failure in using the allotted money came to light in Gouranagar R. D. Block. It is also important that, a further allocation of 5 Crore rupees already sanctioned for the Block. And the failure of the authority in utilizing the MGNREGA Fund pushed back Unakoti District at the 7th position in MGNREGA implementation. The fact has unearthed in the Review Meeting held at Circuit House yesterday.However, this failure created a uncanny situation as CM is planning to sit in demonstration in front of the Parliament from 26th November onwards. Basically, when the sanctioned funds remain unspent, then how the CM can demand for more funds is the question in the top-brass of the Party itself.

On October 15, a major scam in MGNREGA Kamalpur was unearthed, corruption was coordinated among the different departments of this leftist regime ! Deptt. Of  R.D. gobbled over 12 lakhs rupees in the name of constructing Steel Foot Bridge on the eve of election. And now PWD ( R & B) issued work order to built a box-cell culvert in the same place. Interesting fact is that, TIWN already has brought in light that how the Engineers of R.D. gobbled an amount of more than 12 lakh rupees in the name of making a Steel Foot Bridge at  Kaimacherra under Durai Shibbari Panchayat to fund the CPIM party. The local people alleged that there was and is no steel foot bridge accept the bamboo bridge which is still existent there. And all the bills of that work was issued on the same day i.e. 16/09/2013 and paid on the same day i.e. 17/09/2013. Now the PWD (R & B) has appeared in the stage as the savior. On 30/05/2014 the Executive Engineer issued the Notice no. 04/EE/PWD (R & B) Kmp /DIV/2014-15 inviting tender for the work “ Replacement of existing SPT Bridge on the road from kaimacherra PMGSE road to Kaimacherra village road at ch. 040 by RCC Box Cell of 1x 6.00 mtr span.” After tender a local contractor of Kamalpur got the job. On 11/09/2014, the Executive Engineer issued work order no. F. 7 (11) EE/PWD /R & B / KMP/DIV/ 2616-27  for the same work with an estimated cost of 18,89,149 rupees. The PWD ( R & B ) to suppress the corruption made no mention about the Bamboo bridge and mentioned it as an SPT Bridge.  The Dept. Has not yet taken the charge of the place from the Panchayat to start construction . If another large scale corruption is to be staged is the matter to be seen.
