AGARTALA, November 6 (TIWN): With a demand to use Bengali language as an official language of the state, to stop corruption and price hike, to stop crimes against women along with 16 points charter of demands the “Amra Bangali†on Thursday staged a seven hours sit-in-demonstration at Agartala, Swami Vivekananda stadium.
Staging a sit in demonstration “Amra Bangali” on Thursday raised their voice against corruptions, crimes against women, drugs supplies especially, that are rising at an alarming rate at the state Tripura. Their prime demand during the sit in demonstration was to include the Bengali language in the state administration.
The state Tripura consists of 95 percent Bengali people whereas 99 percent of the people of the state is familiar with the Bengali language. But according to the statement of Amra Bangali the Bengali language has been withdrawn from class XI standard of every school. Therefore Amra Bangali urged the state govt. to use Bengali language in administrative works. Beside they also demanded to diminish the ADC, that has created a gap between the tribal and non tribals.
However, it is to be mentioned here that corruptions, crimes against women, drug smugglings has strongly gripped the state Tripura. And the serial scams in Tripura lead the Tripura Govt. to lost its ever way.
