Belonia, Nov 6 (TIWN): Putting a question mark on the healthcare services in the ‘golden era’ in Tripura, Belonia sub-divisional hospital has been facing several problems including dearth of duty doctors, non availability of staffs and many others problems for a long time. According to the sources, non availability of specialist doctors causes different issues among the patients. The birth and death certificate records are also not available in the hospital, said source.

Some of the patients alleged that, even in case of minor injury cases, the hospital authority failed to provide minimum treatment facilities to the patients due to lack of basic infrastructure in Belonia hospital. The non-availability of sufficient diagnostic machines is also the part inadequate medical services in Belonia sub-divisional hospital, they added.

As a result, patients those visits Belonia hospital often moves to another hospital after facing dearth of minimum treatment facilities. The patients have demanded; improvement of hospitality, quality treatment, staff development, and patient centric culture must be ensured immediately in the hospital. They demanded to state government to take necessary steps for the improvement of medical services in the Belonia sub-divisional hospital.
