Earthquake horror back in Tripura with 4 | AGARTALA / MANIKCHARI, June 27 (TIWN): An earthquake of 4.7 magnitude at Manikchari in Chittagong (Bangladesh) was felt across North East India at 5.57 am on Monday. The affect mostly reached in Tripura and Mizoram. However, so far no causality has been reported yet. Medium shockwaves were felt more in Bangladesh, Manipur, Assam, Meghalaya, Manipur, Tripura, Nagaland, Mayanmar. The 4.7 magnitude earthquake was centered 21 km from Chittagong (Bangladesh). In 2016, the earthquake was felt more than 3 times in this NE region. Tripura being filled up with unscientific buildings including the Govt. offices is in the high risk zone now. Landslides damaged railway track: BG tra | AGARTALA, June 26 (TIWN): Due to State Govt's poor co-ordination with Assam and Centre, there is no possibility to run the express train from Tripura before September as the railway tracks at Halflong town of Assam is damaged which is further obstructing the commencement of the BG train from Tripura. The demand of the train service in the state is going high but there is hardly any chance for the commencement of the express train from Tripura. As the days are passing by the hope for beginning of the BG express train service from Tripura by June now stands as a distant dream for the people of the state. Talking to TIWN correspondent, NFR construction official Pratap Singh said that there is no chance to run BG train from Tripura at least in next two months as the railway tracks in many parts especially in Halflong of Assam is totally damaged. BSF stops 250 Bangladesh nationals from | AGARTALA, June 25 (TIWN/IANS): India's Border Security Force (BSF) prevented around 250 Bangladesh nationals from entering Tripura on Saturday, police said. "Around 250 people, including women and children, tried to enter India's western Tripura today (Saturday) morning, but the BSF thwarted their attempt," Khowai district police chief Jayanta Chakraborty told IANS over phone. He said: "Bangladesh forest guards destroyed the homes of these people and evicted them from forest lands at Chunarughat (under Habiganj district in eastern Bangladesh) late Friday. These people belonging to Hindu tribal groups took shelter along the Indian border."
