AGARTALA, June 27 (TIWN): Minor rapes have become usual issues for state Tripura. After 72 hours of FIR lodging, police has nabbed the culprit named Judhisthir Bhatta.

The incident occurred at Nalua, under Belonia. On Monday police arrested the accused. He is to be produced before the court.

It’s worthy to mention here that although women police stations are made almost everywhere in Tripura, but the state is scoring high with the increasing numbers of minor rape victims, but the Govt. here has no sympathy neither it has any outrage against the increasing number of crimes in state.

And in minor rape case Tripura has done records in last few months.

Tripura’s child care and Women Commission officers traveling in VIP cars with red lights are silent after so many brutal rapes. In last 2 months, so many minor rapes held in state, but Women Commission Chairperson never bothered to meet the family members.

Reportedly, on 16 April a girl who as reading in class 10 was raped brutally by 5 persons near Airport area’s tea garden. Chetan Bonoj and Mohonta Tati along with 3 other persons who  raped her when she went to bring cattle from the field. But none of them are arrested, said police source. However, as the victim is unable to recognize rest of the 3 persons, police also has no urgency to find out them.

Then on April 20  a minor girl was gang raped at Ganesh chowdhury area under Lembuchaarra. On that same day, another 15 year’s tribal girl was raped at Amarpur,Gomati Dist. and the victim was the D/O-Dulumay Swaran Kumar Jamatia at Amarpur.

On April 25 police has arrested one Praneswar Debbarma in allegation of raping another minor girl. The incident occurred at Tulamura area, under Udaipur.   Another girl, resident of Laxicharra Village having been raped by a youth at Lankajoy area under Bokafa RD Block. According to Source, the two CPI Minister Manindra Reang & Dhirendra Reang try to suppress the case, although FIR still lodged with NO.30/16 363/376 IPC.

Who can now forget about the minor girl of 8 years at Kamlapur who was raped and murdered on May 12.

Although number of women police stations are increasing but they have been remained without any affect to the crimes.
