AGARTALA, June 27 (TIWN): TCS officer and former Sonamura SDM Panna Ahmed, who was known for providing umbrella support to Sonamura, Boxnagar regions massive tea-garden shaped Ganja cultivations, favoring Bangladesh based Islamic radical elements, also known as a most characterless TCS officer with active CPI-M backings. Panna Ahmed was very reluctant to talk even few weeks back TIWN asked him about Sonamura's massive Ganja cultivation and he said, “I am busy with other important works, no time to discuss issues like Ganja production”, but this corrupt TCS officer now trapped by his misdeeds of raping a hapless woman in Agartala.Even though woman complained of rape but Police filed only IPC 506 section but not rape charges sections IPC 375,376 C.

Trinamul Congress on Monday night led massive protests at Agartala to arrest Panna Ahmed on rape charges.

Police claimed that, they went to Panna Ahmed’s home but TCS officer is in hiding now. 

TMC also raised allegations that police providing full support to rapist, also  police is helping Ahmed into hiding. Panna Ahmed was also the former SDM of Sonamura subdivision where he ruled for years  to provide support to smugglers and ganja cultivators  .

Raped-woman is mother of 2 children, and came to meet Panna Ahmed at his home in search of rent at Agartala Ramnagar.Taking advantage of situation, Panna Ahmed tortured her, beaten her and then raped her for hours.

IPC Section 506 FIR was lodged against Panna Ahmed in West Women Police Station on Monday, but CPI-M's police force feeling shy to arrest such a well known communist TCS officer.

The women further told media that he gave her threat for life and told her that like her he threw many women into DUSTBIN, so she should not open her mouth”.

But now Panna Ahmed is exposed and political parties now fuming actions against Amhed and demanding his immediate arrest.

IPC 506  which has been lodged against him is considered for Punishment for criminal intimidation. 

Whoever commits, the offence of criminal intimidation shall be punished with imprison­ment of either description for a term which may extend to two years, or with fine, or with both.

If threat be to cause death or grievous hurt, etc.—And if the threat be to cause death or grievous hurt, or to cause the destruction of any property by fire, or to cause an offence punishable with death or or with imprisonment for a term which may extend to seven years, or to impute, unchastity to a woman, shall be punished with imprison­ment of either description for a term which may extend to seven years, or with fine, or with both.

Whole Agartala is boiling in anger and TMC women commission leader Kalyani Roy is leading the protest against rapist TCS officer Panna Ahmed.

State Congress also gheroued Chief Minister's residence whereas TMC gheraoed South Ramnagar Panna Ahmed's home.
