Mizoram hands over gold robbery case to | AIZAWL / AGARTALA, June 16 (TIWN): The Mizoram government has handed over the Rs 14.5 crore gold robbery case to the CBI as the Special Investigation Team (SIT), constituted by the state government to probe the case, was facing problems, an official said here on Wednesday. It’s worthy to mention here that Tripura High Court former Chief Justice Dipak Gupta had expressed disappointment over the affidavit placed by the SIT, directed to place new affidavit over the chit fund scam case by June 30. But Tripura Govt. has no urgency to run CBI inquiry against various chit fund cases held in Tripura. At Mizoram a private vehicle carrying 52 gold bars worth Rs 14.5 crore was intercepted on the outskirts of Aizawl capital city on December 14 last year by the troopers of Assam Rifles. Mizoram Police last month arrested Colonel Jasjit Singh, Commandant of the 39th Battalion of Assam Rifles, eight other Assam Rifles troopers and four civilians, including a driver, in the sensational gold robbery case. | 16-Jun-2016 |

119 employees of 26 schools (Grant-in-ai | AGARTALA, June 16 (TIWN): During the continuous rule of Left Front led by CPI-M and Manik Sarkar the work culture of every department has gone from bad to worse. And Education Minister Tapan Chakraborty himself has been one of the most inefficient ministers in the state cabinet though he enjoys blind blessings of CM Manik due to his unquestionable loyalty towards the Chief Minister. Indeed, Education Ministry has simply turned into a den of wrongdoings even though Tapan Chakraborty and CM Manik always take pride on their false claims of quality education as well as well as rise in literacy rate in the state . TIWN got confirmed information that 119 employees (mostly teachers) in 26 schools under Grant-in-Aided in School Education Department ate yet to get their regular pay scale even after completing five years of service more than 7 to 9 months ago. State Finance Ministry has turned down the proposal and in fact sent back the file to the School Education. " Thus, one can easily guess that simply due to the lapse of School Education Ministry( Grant-in-Aid) 119 employees are being deprived. Among the 26 schools Netaji Subhash Vidyaniketan, Ramkrishna Mission Vidya Mandir, Udaipur Ramesh H S School are included. | 15-Jun-2016 |

Ever since Manik Sarkar assumed the Chair of Chief Minister in 1998 Tripura has been going through a phase of crimes -rapes, murders, looting, molestations, tortures on women etc. Quite surprisingly in most of the cases criminals are being treated with leniency or even they are getting VIP treatment simply due to their political inclination to a particular party. Tripura Citizen Forum President Sanjay Pal made a crucial remark saying," On our way to Udaipur we politely appealed to SP Gomati S Saraswati to met us with a deputation. Unfortunately , SP Gomati refused to take the same on the pretext of of Sunday(Holiday).
