AGARTALA, June 28 (TIWN): CPI-M state secretary Bijan Dhar on Tuesday in a press meet after concluding the two day long state committee meeting stated that there is no alliance between CPI-M and Congress now. The alliance has now ended after the final decision was taken in the CPI-M central committee meeting at Delhi.
Addressing the press meet at CPI-M party office Dhar further said that the present decision of non-alliance between CPI-M and Congress should be made available to all the members of the party. However, he further said that CPI-M will stage series of protest rally against the rising attacks against CPI-M members at West Bengal and others places of the nation.
The protest will start from middle of June, added Dhar.
The two-day long CPI-M State committee meeting which began on Monday at Melarmath Party Office has ended on Tuesday.
The meeting began after CM Manik Sarkar came back from Andra Pradesh on Monday.
The meeting continued for two days from June 27 to June 28.
The CPI (M) state committee meeting took certain issues related to the end of alliance between CPI-M and Congress and party related issues.
During the meeting one shocking decision was taken as the former deputy speaker of the assembly Subal Rudra was suspended from the party with the allegations of grabbing workers land.
