Malaria attack hits back in Tripura : Disease extends at Gandachara area
TIWN June 26, 2016

AGARTALA, June 26 (TIWN): Malaria has hit back in state, as Bhagirath ADC village is now under the threat of malaria. Many patients have been admitted in Gandachara Hospital.

It’s to be mentioned here, when state was suffering from malaria more than 26 days taking the whole May month, with the first death reported in May 2, after 36 days, Tripura’s Health Minister called press meet and alert the people to stay safe from malaria germs. The first deceased due to malaria attack was a youth named Arabinda Debbarma (27), from Khowai.

Morover, Like every year in 2016 too Tripura’s hilly areas are under threat of malaria, as already malaria germ has been found in rural people, said report.

After that again Gandachara has been hit with malaria attack.

For Gandachara in 2014, 2015 many people died; and the year 2016 has not also been spared by the malaria attacks, but Govt. is too lazy to set up a proper medical centre at Gandachara.

Due to lack of proper health care centres, insufficient doctors people are dying in hilly areas, but the health dept. is here busy to hold programmes on Swachh Bharat Mission, whereas due to polluted water and unhygienic condition, lack of proper health care, people are suffering across the state.

It’s to be mentioned here that in Dhalai District’s many areas as Chamanu, Satrai, , Khalchara, Labaram, Haraiyamura and many other places have been attacked by malaria in this year.

From Chamara to Labaram is around 20 Km, Chamara to Haraiyamura is around 12 Km, khalchara to Chamara is around, Chamara to Satrai around 20 km and Chamara to Labaram is 25 km. But surprisingly, all these area are left without a single primary health centre.

These all areas are forest areas, where no vehicle can also be found. The interior area with 500 population in 2015 observed the death of atleast 223 people due to malaria.

Again the people, children are being attacked by the same disease, but the heath Dept. has no concern about this.
