AGARTALA, June 15 (TIWN): In a bizarre incident a body of an unidentified man was recovered from the city adjacent to Umakanta school area on Wednesday morning triggering huge resentment among the common people of the area. The incident came to light around in the early morning when the body was spotted by the locals in the area. The locals immediately called up the west police station and later the body was sent for post mortem by police.

No documents were found with the deceased which could help identify his identity.  However a possibility of accidental death can be claimed unless post mortem reports arrive," said a senior police official.

The police said they are tracking missing person records in all police stations of the area and local residents are being questioned. People residing in the area where the body was found is also being checked, they added.

However, the police are further investigating the case.

Despite of several initiatives has been taken to curb down the rising crime in the State, recovery of dead bodies has become daily report.

Where the ministerial authority claims that the crime rate in Tripura is declining day by day, on the other hand, reports of recovery of dead bodies including infant, aged has become rampant.

It is to be mentioned here that the capital has become a dumping zone of dead bodies. Though several police stations have been established in the capital including women police station, it seems like all the initiatives fails to curb down the rising crime in the capital.

However, if we go through the reports, the capital as well as in various interior part of the State has virtually become a dumping ground for bodies.
