TIWN June 15, 2016

KAMALPUR, June 15 (TIWN): The den of poor governance and party raj, Baligaon Seed Store proved the apathy of the so-called dynamic administration before the all powerful party cadres last night.

Depriving the actual farmers, the party cadres virtually looted the manures sanctioned for the Boro paddy cultivators. And the deprived farmers remained waiting for the party leaders who got into the dilemma as what to do.

According to the information and allegation of the farmers of the Ganganagar area, in total 20 farmers cultivated the Boro paddy in their fields this season. For their cultivation, manures reached the Baligaon seed store yesterday afternoon. But, the farmers not got the manure.

And it had happened as some of the party cadres namely Suleman Mia, Manik Mia, Abdul Haque, Yusuf Mia and others virtually looted the manure even though they had no land for cultivation. They fetched the manure at their houses with goods carrying vehicles and some also sent a part of those manures to their relatives at other places.

Not only that, the cadres started to sell those manures in high rate from their houses. This entire proceeding made the actual farmers very much angered and they took the matter to the concern of the party leadership. The party leaders not yet took any decision in this regard.

Now, the farmers decided to join the TMC, if their grievance not handled properly. It might be mentioned here that, the plight and poor governance were already brought out by TIWN. But, the authority could not gather courage to cope with the situation and it continued to deteriorate.
