State government employees and pensioners had long been demanding from the state government that their DA be equal to that of central government employees. With this new installment, the DA of state government employees and pensioners rose to 74 percent, while central government employees are getting allowance at 125 percent. | 26-Mar-2016 |

Now the question is what Tripura Govt has done so far to utilize this golden opportunity??? No one knows the answer. The bitter truth is that Tripura CM to IT Minister never took any initiative to promote about IT or Internet Gateway in any public platforms nor visited any IT companies in India or Bangladesh to initiate a dialogue for investments in IT Industry. At this stage what is the purpose of such developed service in the state when the government is least bothered to make its fullest utilisation. Tripura’s Internet service functi | AGARTALA / BANGALORE, March 25 (TIWN): Tripura’s poor internet service across state is nothing new as Chief Minister Manik Sarkar to IT Minister Tapan Chakraborty consistently remained allergic towards hi-tech developments in State. Neither IT Minister or ‘chamcha’ bureaucrats in State Secretariat have any plans to roll out high speed internet in eight districts, towns, subdivisions of Tripura. A well-connected nation is the first step towards a well-served nation and, hence, connecting rural India to the IoT will provide the much-needed bridge between urban and rural India. Some call it the fourth industrial revolution or "industry 4.0"; for others, the time when machines can "talk" at "smart" factories and "connected" homes to make your life better is here. But for India, Internet of Things (IoT) can bring a real revolution: empowering millions in rural areas and connecting "humans" to the mainstream. Even though Agartala was chosen for India’s 3rd Internet Gateway but visionless Manik Sarkar led CPI-M Govt did nothing so far to boost high speed internet, inviting IT industries in State. | 25-Mar-2016 |
