AGARTALA, March 27 (TIWN): State BJP on Sunday hoisted a party committee meeting at party office to discuss about the present status of the party nation wise.

However, the meeting was attended by all the members of the BJP party along with BJP state observer Sunil Deodar and others.

The meeting was presided by BJP state president Biplab Deb.

Addressing the meeting on Sunday Party president also mentioned that they will fight together against the ruling Government and will successfully remove the Left Rule from the state.

Besides, in every step they will raise protest against the Left Rule Government and its misrule in the state.

However, the party is gearing up for the assembly scheduled to be held in the year 2018.

According to the party members after Biplab Deb became the president of the party the party has done well in the recently concluded bi-election and village committee election.

Addressing the press meet he further said that the party has constituted state committee comprising of 47 members.  However, the working committee is formed with 14 members.

Although slowly and gradually, but BJP is emerging as a major threat to the state opposition party Congress in Tripura’s political scenario.  The situation can be better explained with the situation where BJP is the recently held bi-election to Amarpur assembly constituency and village polls where BJP gave a serious competition to congress and occupied the second position in the bi-election run.

The recent developments in the state’s political scenario has widened up the options of various political parties in the state. The most significant of all is the rise in popularity of the rightist party BJP in the tribal belt of the state where the party became the second choice of voters in the recently concluded bi-election. The vote share in comparison to the other political parties may not be that significant but the surcharge in the vote percentage compared to its previous performance is giving boost to the party think here.

The party has been able to make a mark in the hearts of the educated class of the state as a potential alternative of the main opposition Congress which is waiting its complete white wash from the state politics, thinks political analysts here.
