Eight Tripura militants killed, arms rec | DHAKA / AGARTALA, Dec 9 (TIWN / bdnews24): At least eight Tripura militants were killed during an encounter with a combined team of Bangladesh security force confirmed a top intelligence official here on condition of anonymity. According to the source, the combine team of the Bangladesh army and Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) had an encounter with the militants of the banned National Liberation Front of Tripura (BM fraction) under the leadership of Rathamani Koloi. In the skirmish eight NLFT militants were killed and later during search the combined team recovered huge quantity of arms, ammunition and communication equipments. On 24/12/2014 Additional Secretary to the Government of Tripura, Education (School) Department P K Chakraborty vide his notification No.F.3(C-13)SE-E(GL)2013 declared the New Recruitment Policy of Post Graduate, Graduate and Under Graduate Teachers. Interestingly this notification of Rules suggests a huge number of vacancies of Teachers in School Education Department. Division Bench of H C comprising of Chief Justice Deepak Kumar Gupta and Justice Swapan Ch Das on its order on 7th May 2014 declared the Recruitment policy of the state govt unconstitutional. But the point is, in order to save his personal interest how can a Law Secretary may term the role of the Chief Justice as ' preconceived'? A division bench of the Supreme Court comprising Justice Jagdish Singh Khehar and Justice Arun Mishra passed an order allowing the continuation in service of all the 10,323 teachers till the final disposal of the case or until further orders. Supreme Court on Monday had passed the order on the hearing of the interlocutory application filed by Tripura Govt. that on 31st December the fate of the teachers will not come to an end. This is certainly a temporary sigh of relief for the 10,323 teachers for a limited period. It is to be mentioned here that the next hearing of the case filed by the State Government to save the fate of 10,323 teachers was scheduled on 9th January 2015.Though it had caused relief to the teachers, but the final decision is a long way to come.
