AGARTALA, December 9 (TIWN): East PS police on Monday mid-night detained at least 3 youths in connection to Jogendranagar murder case. Police identified the dead body to be an inhabitant of Madhupur named as Pramod Das.

The three youths who were arrested in connection to Jogendranagar murder case are: Tritosh Sarkar (19) resident of Katashola, Amal Bil (27) resident of Bamutia and Dilip Debnath (30) a resident of Ranir Bazar. Police arrested all the three from Katashola area yesterday midnight. However later the three accused were taken to the spot where the dead body was found lying.

Police is investigating the case.

The incident occurred on Sunday afternoon at Jogendranagar area near the rail station, when the locals found an unknown dead body (40) lying in a jungle. Later, the police getting an alarm rushed to the spot and deployed dog squad. Along with the forensic team had also examined the dead body. Police recovered liquor bottle and a glass that was lying near the dead body.

According to the police, he was first made to drink liquor and than he was killed. Police is investigating the case.

However, but is to be mentioned here that several such incidents had been reported so far from the Jogendranagar rail station area.
