AGARTALA, Dec 7 (TIWN):Following a RTI by the Tripura State Congress Spokesperson Dr Ashok Sinha to the Principal, AGMC to find about grant and expenditure details of all research projects of AGMC sanctioned by different central departments & agencies during last 3 yrs, a detailed internal audit has been ordered by the Dept of Audit, Govt of Tripura to fix all the possible loopholes.

 Massive irregularities in such research projects under the direct patronage of the Medical Education Advisor Dr Siddhartha Majumder in collaboration with the pro govt doctors association leader Dr Manik Choudhury have alleged to happen during last 3 years. It's well known fact that many faculties who are actually incharge of such research projects were pressurised by those two corrupt officials to buy different equipments costing lakhs of rupees from only those companies who gave commissions to the big bosses. Shall a proper audit will ever happen in such scenario to punish the involved corrupt officials?

However hope of honest auditing by Govt of Tripura now-a-days almost nil as "Mr Clean" Chief Minister successfully removed honest Director of Audit Lalnuna Rojhum for doing great job of unearthing massive scams like MGNREGA Bisalgarh. To save his clean image, CM has put his close aide Sahadeb Das in the post of Director of Audit so that no further scams by ruling party will see daylight.
