Agartala, Dec 9 (TIWN): All India Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) President- Amit Shah would visit Tripura on January 20, next to take stock of the current organizational strength of the party, said BJP state president- Sudhundra Dasgupta over telephone today.
On being asked about the aim of Amit Shah’s visit, the overall party strategy will be reviewed and different vital decisions will be taken, Dasgupta said. Besides, several meetings will be conducted with the BJP state leaders during the visit, said he.
“We shall highlight the burning issues of Tripura including several multi-crore scams, crimes against women and the current picture of the state during his visit”, Dasgupta said.
Expressing hope, a vast number of workers and supporters from Pradesh Congress, CPI-M and TMC are likely to join Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on his visit in January, said Sudhindra.
In a party meeting conducted at New Delhi on last month, state president has invited Amit Shah to visit Tripura in January, next. As a token of reply, Shah decided to arrive in Tripura on January 20, next, said Dasgupta.
