Agartala, Dec 7 (TIWN): Among 12 FIR named accused persons (APs) into multi-crore MGNREGA scam at Bishalgarh RD Block, five persons will be produced before the SDJM court, Bishalgarh on Monday.

Five accused persons of MGNREGA scam- Kishore Banik (Technical Assistant), Nibash Pal (Jr. Mechanical Engineer), Partha Sarkar (Jr. Mechanical Engineer), Goutam Pal (Junior Technician) and Tushar Kanti Sen (Panchayat Secretary) would be produced before the SDJM court at Bishalgarh on Monday, said police.

On being asked about the progress of the charge-sheet, police said, “The partial charge-sheet on Bishalgarh scam will be submitted at the Court soon. We have almost completed the investigation for first part out of nine parts into the case.”

Of the total FIR named accused persons including a woman, three persons- Debaprasad Nandi, Gram Rojgar Sevak (GRS), Mita Malakar (Junior Engineer) and Chayan Nandi (Technical Assistant) are still at large. Altogether 9 persons were arrested or surrendered so far in connection with massive MGNREGA scam of Bishalgarh RD Block.

At present, the prime accused of massive MGNREGA funds irregularities at Bishalgarh RD Block- Bimal Chakraborty is in 12-day judicial custody till December 16, said police.
