Problems Seal Oil Motor Pump in Gas Turb | PALATANA/UDAIPUR,September 26 (TIWN): The much expected Pre-Commercial Generation (COG) activities in the 726.6MW Combined Cycle Gas Turbine(CCGT) Thermal Power Plant have been cancelled up to 6th October due to a major problem in Seal Oil Pump motor , confirmed a top Level OTPC engineer on Friday afternoon. Thus, the chances to start Commercial Generation from Unit-II too have been postponed for a minimum period of fifteen days. The motor has already been sent for repair and it is learnt that it will take at least one week's time . Seal Oil Pump Motor is a crucial unit of the Gas Turbine and without repairing it the Gas Turbine cannot be operated, said the engineer.Earlier the Purge Valve of the Gas Turbine too was damaged and it has been repaired. Barman today met with the Tripura Governor P.B. Acharya and discussed various corruption issues of Tripura at Raj Bbhavan.While visiting to the Governor, Barman alleged that the state government has not been taking any exemplary measures to the corrupted people. State level review meeting on improvemen | AGARTALA, September 26 (TIWN): A state level review meeting on improvement of quality education was held at Pragna Bhavan here today.Speaking in the review meeting, Chief Minister Manik Sarkar said that there are schools where attendance of students are very poor. Poor attendance is one of the factors responsible for poor performance. Steps to enhance the percentage of attendance need to be taken. The SMC concerned may involved with the exercise intended to enhance the percentage of attendance. Attendance upto 85% must be ensured by all concerned HM/AHM/TICs, he added.There is also need to evolve a mechanism for evaluating the performance of the children internally from class IX onwards. Motivation is also equally important. Motivation works. Steps to raise the motivational level of students are needed. The involvement of community leaders, PRI bodies and SMC needs to be encouraged in the process. The total figure of crime against women including rape, molestation and other crimes registered in the state till July 31 this year was stated to be 1,022. However only seven victims have been given compensation after the implementation of the scheme.It is to be mentioned here that Tripura Government in collaboration with the Central Government implemented a new scheme for the rape victims in the year 2012. The scheme stated that â€A new Section 357 A was incorporated in the code of criminal Procedure in order to provide for the State Government to prepare, in coÂordination with the Central Government, a Scheme called "Victim compensation Scheme" for the purpose of compensation to the victim or his dependents who have suffered loss or injury as a result of the crime.
